A date for the Ride on Molly event has been selected and a
preliminary agenda established. After
careful consideration and discussion, the Committee has agreed that this years
event will have a slightly different agenda than the past 5 years.
First though, let’s lock in the date of “Ride on Molly 6”, and mark your
calendars for Saturday, May 21, 2016.
Now for the agenda…..
After 5 wonderful years of Corporate support, the Committee
will no longer pursue corporate financial contributions. The generous
contributions of Manheim Auto Auction, Mike Sullivan (LA CarGuy) and
Toyota/Lexus Motor Sales securely established the legacy of the “Ride on Molly”
event, and we are forever grateful for their support. It is now time to move onto the next chapter
of this event, however, never wavering from Molly’s passion to ride, eat and
enjoy great company (and maybe indulge in a cocktail along the way).
The El Rey Mexican Restaurant located on Highway 76 was a
favorite stopover on many of Molly’s ride through Temecula, Julian or the
Borrego Springs area. Therefore, we have
chosen El Rey as our meet spot to enjoy lunch and share our “never ending”
stories of the life of Molly.
El Rey Restaurant is conveniently located on Hwy 76, not too
far from the 15 Freeway, so if you’re joining us by car, it is easy access to
the restaurant. Since this is obviously
great motorcycle country, a ride meet point will be established in Orange
County for those who would like to take the scenic route to El Rey.
A much more specific letter will be forthcoming detailing
ride meet points, restaurant directions, times, etc. For now, mark you calendars for May 21 and stay tuned for further info.
There is no planned overnight function, as this will be for
most of us, a day trip only. However,
should any of you be travelling from greater distances and would like to tie in
a long weekend, we can assist with some suggested nearby towns where you can
find accommodations.
To ensure El Rey has adequate staff on hand and we reserve
the proper space, we will be asking for a RSVP by May 1 from you.
Please feel free to email me with any questions you may
have.
Best Regards,
